A puzzle-platformer videogame. Play as BOBO, who has the ability to stick to gooey material. Made in a week for Bored Pixels Jam.
I stumbled on Itch a random game jam by the handle of "Bored Pixels Jam", and I remember it as a mere excuse to create another game. I was pretty inspired by that time, spending a week hunched over my computer, bringing this game to life.
I've got to say, I'm pretty happy with how the game turned out. I'm a sucker for puzzle-platformers, with a mix of platforming action and problem-solving. BOBO is hard to describe at first: it blends some platforming areas with Sokoban-like puzzles.
I was pretty inspired by Nitrome's old Flash games. The influence shines in the bite-sized levels, which is why the game features a level-select screen. I structured BOBO in a similar way, with compact levels and diverse mechanics.
